Christopher Andrew, The Posh Gardener
Christopher in the garden

A lifelong love of
gardens

Some people discover their true passion early in life. For Christopher Andrew, it took thirty years — and a successful career in financial services — to realise that gardens had been his greatest love all along.

After three decades in the City, Chris followed what had always brought him the most joy and founded The Posh Gardener — offering something he felt was genuinely missing: skilled, personal garden care from someone who truly cares about the craft.

Beyond South West London, Chris has created a garden from scratch at his home in the Cévennes National Park in southern France — a wild, sun-drenched landscape that has deepened his understanding of plants and seasons in ways no English garden quite could.

He has also spent many years maintaining the garden at Rydal Mount in the Lake District — William Wordsworth's beloved home, and one of England's most cherished historic gardens, open to the public for over fifty years. It is a responsibility Chris holds with enormous pride.
